Speciality Glazes for Stoneware

Cobblestone Glaze
The Mayco Cobblestone Glaze produces a striking, cracked surface that is reminiscent of dried earth or weathered stone. Available in black and white, it can be used alone on bold sculptural pieces or layered over other glazes to create dimensional texture.
Apply evenly to bisque ware and allow each coat to dry before adding the following glaze combination. During kiln firing, the surface contracts to form the characteristic cobblestone pattern and is ideal for adding tactile and visual interest to both decorative and functional ceramics.
Snowfall Glaze
Snowfall is a speciality white texture glaze that builds up a soft, snow-like surface with a slightly raised texture. It can be brushed on in varying thicknesses to achieve light dustings or heavy accumulations of white, providing a unique 3D finish that catches light beautifully.
Perfect for sculptural forms, festive pieces and decorative stoneware, it offers an elegant, matte texture that stands apart from traditional gloss glazes.
Speckta Clear Glaze
The Speckta Clear Glazes - Celebration and Star Dust - add a layer of sparkle and brilliance to your work. These transparent gloss glazes featured tiny metallic flecks that burst into colour during firing, creating a subtle shimmer and visual movement across the surface.
Ideal for layering over underglazes or coloured stoneware bodies, they can be applied with a brush or sponge for even coverage. When fired to Cone 6, they produce a smooth, durable finish that highlights texture and enhances design details.
