My work is essentially hand-built stoneware, practical art and some sculptures. I’m focused on simplicity and pure forms, Wabi Sabi authenticity, textures and glazes. What do I want to say with my ceramics? Celebrate the making, the marks creation makes on the world. Treasure the local, the small-scale, the exceptional, the ordinary and more importantly what’s made out of caring. Respect what people have built for themselves. Find the beauty in some lump of raw clay, mud, chaos, let your hands express the soul, think of practicality through beauty, shake the rituals of practical ware, meditate real life, innovate, and let the past go with simplicity.
