Gold front loading kilns are very durable, reliable and exceptionally efficient production kilns of high performance for school or industrial use. They are constructed from the latest high temperature insulation refractories comprising an ultra-efficient brick hot face and back-up insulation to give a 150mm thick wall of exceptionally low conductivity. This ensures extremely low heat loss, very low external temperatures and amazingly low firing costs. Elements, in highest grade Kanthal for long life and fast, economical performance up to 1300oC, are fitted to both side walls and hearth. The robust angle iron framework featuring an integral stand houses ventilated sheet steel panels which are treated with corrosion resistant paints and very attractively finished in grey and black. Large spy holes are fitted into the door and a large vent in the roof.

EP kilns combine the great durability of the 'Gold' kiln design (and have the same robust angle iron construction and hot face brickwork) but using a 115mm wall thickness. This gives a lower capital cost and a quicker cooling rate: factors which will be appreciated in busy production situations. The kilns have been designed to be a cost effective package and incorporate (priced separately on our webshop) a thermocouple and choice of Hobbymaster 4, Firemaster 6 or Zonemaster temperature controller which is factory fitted. EP kilns can be seen to give a very good capacity/price ratio.
The kilns are attractively spray powder-coat finished in silver grey.
