GR Pottery Forms Workshops & Demo

We’re excited to welcome Jeff Rottman of GR Pottery Forms to Potclays in October for a series of workshops and demos.

On the Monday and Tuesday, Jeff will be hosting a morning and an afternoon workshop, which will each last around 2 hours. The cost includes a FREE GR Form to take home.

On the Wednesday morning, Jeff will host a 2.5hr demonstration and this will be FREE to book.

• Places are available on a first-come basis.
• Only one place per customer to give everyone a fair chance.
• Places on the workshops are limited to just 16 to ensure the best experience for everyone.
• Places on Wednesday’s demo are limited to 20.

Light refreshments (tea, coffee, biscuits) will be available.
Photography and filming may take place at all Potclays events with photos/footage used publicly on social media and in Potclays marketing activity. If you have any concerns, please speak to a member of staff.

Staying for longer?

If you’d like to stay in the area for the duration, there are plenty of accommodation options nearby. For example, Premier Inn Hanley and DoubleTree by Hilton are just over a mile away from Potclays. The Clayhanger Guest House is ¾ mile away (Newcastle direction). Take a look at VisitStoke website for ideas for places to visit. Please ensure that any bookings made are refundable in the case the event is cancelled for reasons beyond our control.

Disability Provisions

We will always make every effort to accommodate those with physical disabilities. Our factory is a very old and rambling building (it was a Victorian teapot factory in a former life) and access to our classroom, WC’s and upper showroom is only made possible through the use of temporary ramps. Please speak to us before booking a course place or visiting us so we can discuss how to best meet your needs.

About GR Pottery Forms

Jeff Rottman started GR Pottery Forms in 2014 at the NCECA conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. GR Pottery Forms are American Made wood fibre drape molds used for hand-building. With these Forms you can quickly make plates, platters, bowls and dishes in repeating and complementary sizes. They are easy to use, budget friendly and light weight. Jeff is the Designer and Maker of this homegrown company. What started as a practical tool for his personal studio use has turned into a business sharing his passion with others! He enjoys working in the pottery studio, fishing, golfing and spending time camping in Northern Michigan with his wife, Gretchen and three kids.
